Greg Bikowski

Greg Bikowski is currently a graduate associate at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He will complete his M.A. in International Affairs, Communication and Development Studies in June of 2001. He has a certificate in radio and television broadcasting from the Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and an undergraduate degree in Music Education from Ball State University in Munice, Indiana.

Over the past year he has developed, written and maintained the content for the Communication and Development web site. Currently, he maintains the web site for a joint research project about obesity and exercise in Ohio, a joint project between the Ohio Department of Health and Ohio University.

From 1997 until 1999 he was a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador. There he led latrine construction and education projects, taught environmental education using, and designed, developed and implemented a local music school for children. He also developed lesson plans and taught seventh-grade English and high school English.

His interests are in reearch, theory and practice of entertainment-education strategies and development in Latin America, particularly Central America.
