Volunteering Assignment To ensure that valuable solutions reach those who can benefit, HORIZON invites volunteers to help advance the work of the HORIZON Solutions Site by:
People who are particularly adept can help us train others by guiding them with the preparation of case studies, editing, assisting with research, and assisting in disseminating information to various multimedia outlets; all of which can be done on the Internet. In order to effectively reach millions of young children and adolescents throughout the world, a special feature of the Site was created: the Solutions Site for Kids of All Ages. HORIZON welcomes volunteers to help with submissions for the Kids Site as well as the main Site, rewrites of the case studies from the main Site for the younger audience, and ideas for the Kids Site (especially from young people). Volunteers can help us reach educational institutions to encourage use of the Solutions Site in curriculum and libraries and to participate in classroom to classroom discussions planned for the Kids of All Ages part of the Site. Volunteers can also help in the search for positive initiatives for possible inclusion on the Solutions Site. For example, substantial information exists on the most successful alternative technologies for clean, efficient, renewable energy which can make a major difference if applied on a larger scale. The Energy and Global Climate Change Program of the Solutions Site can help foster their use. You can help by preparing case studies on the best initiatives. Please join the Interns, Research Fellows, and volunteers (HORIZON Associates), and hundreds of individuals and organizations from throughout the world who are working with the Solutions Site to help better conditions in the world for all. Your work with the HORIZON Solutions Site promises to be rewarding, especially when you learn about the spread of positive initiatives brought about through the Site with your help.
