Dr. Barry is Professor of Medicine and Public Health at Yale University
School of Medicine, Director of the Office of International Health and
the health consultant for Ford Foundation overseas programs.
She is co-founder of the International Travelers Clinic at Yale and the
residency program in International Health.
She
has written extensively on travelers health and ethical dilemmas of overseas
research. She has also been the chairperson the the American Society of
Tropical Medicine's new certification examination and educational initiative
in tropical medecine and travelers health. Dr. Barry has lived and worked
overseas on projects in Ecuador, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Haiti and South Africa.
